Building a modern publishing platform Pro-Metrics
Pro-Metrics is an independent academic publisher based in Estonia, helping researchers and institutions publish journals and books for a global audience.
I led the branding, logo design, UX/UI, and WordPress development, creating a flexible design system and more than 50 custom pages that allow the client to easily manage and expand the platform without relying on developers.

The Challenge
Pro-Metrics is an international academic publisher serving researchers, universities, and scientific institutions across multiple countries and languages. Their previous identity did not reflect the quality and scale of their mission, and the website needed to support a growing ecosystem of journals, books, editorial processes, and publishing services.
The challenge was to create a modern brand that would feel trustworthy and academic while remaining approachable and easy to navigate. At the same time, the platform needed to be highly scalable so the client could continuously publish new content without rebuilding pages from scratch.
The Approach
I designed the project from the ground up, starting with the brand identity and logo. The logo combines the letter P with the shape of an open book, creating a simple symbol that immediately communicates publishing and knowledge while remaining distinctive and memorable.
The visual identity was built around a deep navy blue that conveys trust and authority, paired with a vibrant blue representing innovation and technology. Bright accent colors were introduced throughout the system to differentiate categories and create a modern editorial aesthetic while keeping the interface accessible and engaging.
Beyond branding, I designed the complete UX/UI system and created more than 50 custom page layouts, covering journals, books, publishing services, editorial workflows, and institutional content.
I also developed the entire platform in WordPress using Elementor, building reusable components and flexible templates that allow the Pro-Metrics team to create and edit new pages without technical knowledge. The result is a system that is easy to maintain while remaining consistent across the entire website.
The Outcome
The final product is more than a website—it is a complete digital publishing platform supported by a cohesive brand system. The new identity gives Pro-Metrics a professional and recognizable presence that aligns with its international ambitions and academic standards.
By combining branding, UX/UI, and development into a unified system, the platform can continue to grow with the organization. New journals, books, and editorial content can be added quickly using the modular WordPress architecture, allowing the team to focus on publishing rather than website maintenance.
